Microsoft to release 11 new security fixes on Patch Tuesday

As SearchSecurity.com reports, Microsoft is planning a release of 11 new software fixes on October 10 as part of the month's scheduled "Patch Tuesday" release.

The security updates will include patches rated by Microsoft as critical, for both the Windows operating system and the Office application suite. There is also a patch for Microsoft's .NET application framework, which is rated by the company as "moderate."

These security fixes come on the heels of three released in September, including an off-schedule patch for Internet Explorer.
