SonicWall Inc. has announced a new managed service provider (MSP) program geared toward providing partners with new revenue opportunities.

The new program, dubbed the "Next Generation Managed Service Provider," gives SonicWall partners more opportunity to bring in revenue during tough economic times. Partners will now be better equipped to enter the managed service industry.

The program is being rolled out in a four phases to both SonicWALL and non-SonicWALL partners. The second stage announced today, builds on the initial step that was centered on creating a strong, award-winning product portfolio that facilitates the creation of MSPs. Today SonicWALL rolls out the next step which includes a series of educational programs comprised of webinars, whitepapers and other training materials to partners highlighting the ease of becoming a MSP, in addition to providing the insight and knowledge necessary to do so successfully.

There are four phases to the program, available to both SonicWall partners and non-partners alike. The first and second stages include establishing a strong product portfolio that lends itself to the MSP model with the roll out of a series of training materials to partners.

The third and fourth phases will be launched later this year and will feature better support for different business models as well as third party support.
