Check Point has come a long way since it was formed more than a decade ago.
Check Point's latest major release is the NGX R65. This latest version incorporates features such as built-in antivirus, antispam, URL scanning, attack prevention, and route-based virtual private network (VPN) technology. This book will cover the new features introduced in this latest version.
The NGX R65 adds a significant number of features to the Management platform. In addition, a plug-in system was developed, making it easier to add new products to the SmartConsole suite of Management interfaces. This chapter summarizes the new features introduced since NGX R60.
